Making a festive feature of a hallway entrance
Most of us are gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's way too early to put up Christmas decorations but it's nice to have something to remind us that it's nearly winter and we might even have a white Christmas this year in London (highly unlikely though)!
I love The White Company and regularly purchase from them — bedlinen, accessories, gifts etc — and they always have a good range of Christmas decorations.
I found this lovely little Winter Fairylight Tree, which is not really Christmasy unless you add decorations to it. All I have done is put a cute little felt robin on the tree. The tree is on the table in the hall with a mirror behind and I've hung a clump of decorations with antique silver finish from the mirror. I bought these from my favourite local shop, Quirky Dovetail.
Mirrors are good places to make features and I've done something with the mirror at the front door — I have added another clump of decorations (hearts this time) with antique silver finish (also purchased from my favourite local shop Quirky Dovetail and a string of lights which run off a battery (I don't have an electrical point!).
These features can stay all year round as they don't really denote Christmas; they just enhance your hallway/entrance.
