I had to share this with you. I love these little bowls that you can buy in Sicily and other parts of southern Italy (I've even seen them or sale in the shop at Petersham Nurseries). The design comes in several colours including blue, red and turquoise. I use them for snacks such as dips, peanuts, crisps, and olives. 

Recently, while browsing in my favourite local shop Quirky Dovetail, I spotted an extraordinarily large one of the exact same design — can you believe it, with a diameter of 40cm! To give you an idea of scale, my smallest bowl in the photos below is 7cm in diameter.

I now have a VERY large snack bowl, so big in fact I could lose myself in it!  I'm thinking popcorn, or I might even plant tulip bulbs. Currently I am trying to find a place in my flat for it but I suspect it will end up outside with plants in it.
