My new David Austin rose, The Pilgrim
My last David Austin rose, Spirit of Freedom, sadly died and last September. My local nursery said that they don't last more than 3–4 years in pots.
I replaced it with a yellow old-fashioned rose called The Pilgrim: a pure yellow rose with quite large and evening shaped blooms with many small petals that open to form a flat flower. The rose has a lovely fragrance which is a balance between Tea scent and English Rose myrrh fragrance.
The bush is in a large tub at the front of my property which is south facing so it is in full sunlight.
