I found this butcher's block outside a house in a neighbouring street with a large sign on it saying, "Please take me home". I duly wheeled it home! 

It was natural wood of not a very good quality so probably from Ikea or similar. I decided to transform it with Annie Sloan 'Antibes Green' paint which is one of my favourite colours.
