I updated this bathroom firmly planted in the 80s — a shrine to Laura Ashley — with:

• Walls: neutral (Farrow & Ball's Elephant's Breath) with white tiles.

• Flooring: Karndean LooseLay Vinyl which makes the bathroom feel less sterile.

• Accents of colour: added in the accessories — towels, artwork and plants.

It is now a contemporary, stylish space where you could relax in the bath without getting a migraine from all those shell-patterned tiles!!
