I had a wonderful nine days in LA with fantastic weather (temperatures between 26°C and 30°C), loads of great food and wine and, of course, beautiful scenery.

We drove up the coast to Malibu: what stunning scenery as you follow the coastline. We stopped at Paradise Cove and ate in the café on the beach with our feet in the sand! In typical American style the food portions were ridiculously large (see photos below). 

It was a glorious day and very hot; in fact, nearly too hot to walk barefoot on the sand.  London and the winter weather seemed so far away! I love the predictability of LA weather but I do wonder if I lived there would I get tired of it always being so warm all the time. There is something rather lovely about the defined seasons in the UK.
