Ignore my last post about the imminent arrival of spring; we've reverted to winter. It's so depressing, especially since it's nearly the end of March and daylight saving will kick in over Easter weekend. The cold, grey, wet conditions are enough to depress even the most optimistic of us!
This weekend I cheered up myself by buying spring bulb plants and flowers to fill the house. The spring bulbs are struggling outside so the only solution is to bring the outside inside. The spring bulb plants last a lot longer than the cut flowers so are a more economical option. Sorry that these photos are more of the same, but I just had to share them with you.
I want to start painting furniture again but am waiting for the warmer weather. I have just bought the new Annie Sloan book and can't wait to get going on one or two of these transformations — Colour Recipes for Painted Furniture.
I couldn't resist these little roses — it was one stem and I managed to spread them over three small vases. The purple glass vase is actually a hyacinth vase but the commercial hyacinth bulbs are too large for them but they make beautiful vases.
