The curtain fitters have just finished dressing the windows of my sitting room. I had grey, interlined linen Roman blinds made for the bay window and a large interlined curtain in a vintage-style floral linen on a brass pole.
The beautiful fabrics (Swedish linen) are from The Cloth Shop in Portobello Road. They were made by Pat Giddens Ltd, and hung by brothers Ben and Richard who did an absolutely superb job.
The blinds beautifully frame the original Victorian sash windows without overpowering them. The curtain creates a focal point in the back of the room away from the seating area.
