For 10 years I have had my tree delivered by a lovely chap in the Cotswolds, but this year he informed me that he no longer was doing Christmas trees. I was devastated as he always brought me the perfect tree.
I always think that your Christmas tree is an expression of yourself, and I take my tree very seriously — shape, size and decoration. On recommendation, I ordered my tree online; I asked for a 7 foot tree that was narrow and not bushy. What did they deliver? A 7 foot tree that was as wide as it was tall and very bushy! I asked them to exchange it and what did they bring the second time — a 7 foot tree that was wide and bushy. I won't be using them again and I will choose my own tree from a local stall next year.
It took four packs of lights to cover the tree which are equivalent to 320 lights! I decided use three colours on the tree — purple, pink and silver. I found some great kitsch decorations at the Designers Guild which were half price and also some fabulous kitsch sparkly butterflies from my local florist shop, Jayne Copperwaite Flowers, which are dotted over the tree and one large one I have placed on the top of the tree.

I left the window open last night and a snowy owl found its way into my tree!
